I didn’t plan on posting today.
I got a bit discouraged in my blogging journey, to be truthful with you.
I started to compare my blog and social media pages to others…. don’t ever do that by the way.
Comparison steals joy.
I drew a blank last night and for the past couple of days trying to force a post.
But I was looking up quotes about strength and growth on Pinterest and came across the bible verse:
Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.
Y’all it is so foolish for me to compare my blog to others. I know that they had to set a foundation for their blog to be where it’s at today.
My growth is my OWN journey and nobody else’s !
No one will go through what I go through to build MY foundation in life or on this blog.
STOP COMPARING !
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side, ya know. We have to nourish and foster what we have in order to flourish and build a strong foundation in our lives.
Flowers don’t compete with other flowers; they just bloom and look beautiful. I know that there is someone out there that can relate to this. Not just about social media but about life in general. We compare our daily lives to others. Stop. We are not on the same path in life. We are in different seasons in our life. We need to prioritize ourselves instead putting our priorities on what others have accomplished and are doing to validate where we are in life. Be your own person. My hubs is always telling me to not compare and I guess it’s time I listen. It’s also time for you to do the same. I have come to terms that if my blog never reaches the masses I’m okay with that. This does not define me. I define who I am in life; and the foundation I lay for my future determines my seasons in life. So build yourself a SOLID foundation. You may get cracks on the way but you can also reset the foundation and start over.
